Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Enfield Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you send a message, the mailbox receives the content you choose to include and uses it to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Our host may record ordinary access details such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. We review that information in aggregate to maintain the service and understand broad page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or comparable tools when enabled.
How the Information Is Used
Technical information helps operate the pages, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles from ordinary site activity.
External Portals and Collections
Pages link to Enfield, Connecticut, court, library, archive, and third-party search services. What you submit after following a link is controlled by that service’s privacy policy, not this one. Sponsored search results are supplied by a separate company and have their own data practices.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs while supporting the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure is limited to a valid legal process or the service relationships needed to run the pages.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only while they serve the purposes described above. There are no user accounts here, so this service does not hold a password or personal profile for you.
Children
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to the contact mailbox, use the Contact page so it can be removed.
Choices and Connecticut Rights
Connecticut’s Data Privacy Act, CGS §§42-515 through 42-526, can give covered consumers rights to access, correct, delete, obtain portable data, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or profiling. Because this service keeps little information, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Connecticut, Hartford County courts, or the Town of Enfield remain with their custodians and must be corrected or restricted through the office and statute that control them. The Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, CGS §§1-200 through 1-242, governs access to public records, not removal from this private site.
Policy Changes
